How does the STAP budget work

Do you also want to use the € 1,000 STAP budget? Do you meet the conditions below? Then request the STAP registration certificate directly from SpiralTrain. With this proof of registration you can apply for the STAP budget at UWV by logging in with your DigiD. As soon as there is no more STAP budget available, the application portal will be closed. You therefore have the best chance if you apply for your STAP budget immediately as soon as it

STAP budget conditions

Do you want to use the STAP budget? Then you must meet a number of conditions:

You are between 18 and retirement age.
You work as an employee, are an entrepreneur or are currently unemployed.
At the time of application, you will not receive a student grant, teacher grant or allowance for school costs for adults.
You have not been awarded the STAP budget before this year.
The application time is every 2 months on the first working day of the month.
The counter opens at 10:00 am.

This is how you apply for the STAP budget

Step 1. Choose your course and fill in the details on the form
The registration date for the course must be at least 1 month after the subsidy application. You are not yet registered for the course and you are not yet bound to anything. If you do not receive a subsidy, you do not have to pay anything. But of course you can also register immediately if you are sure that you want to follow the course without a subsidy. Then register via the registration form.

Step 2. Receipt of the STAP registration certificate
If you meet all the conditions, you will receive the STAP registration certificate from us. You need this for your STAP application at the UWV. Make sure you register on time, so that you receive your STAP registration certificate on time

Step 3. Apply for the STAP budget at UWV
On the next application date, go to the STAP portal of UWV well before 10:00 am on the next application date , log in with your DigiD and request the STAP budget. You will receive a message from the UWV when the STAP budget has been allocated.

Step 4. SpiralTrain settles the STAP budget
SpiralTrain receives the STAP budget and settles this with the training costs.
